Example One:In this video, the teacher is meeting with a small group and asking open ended questions to the group about the text. One student comes up with a prediction, and the teacher deepens the learners prediction by asking, "Why?" The teacher then relates the prediction to the beginning of the text, to help the student's comprehension. In this video, the teacher also stopped briefly to discuss words that the students may not know or understand. The assessment in this video was the teacher asked questions to help the students and get them thinking about making predictions.
